The Health Action Promotion Organization (HAPO) has already launched the initial pilot project with 13 kids all of whom you have seen on this website. With your help HAPO will be able to support 27 more children who have been found orphaned or vulnerable, are having difficulties in school, or whose parents or guardians are currently unable to provide for their needs. Most of these children aged 6-13 have been orphaned by parents who died of AIDS. Each of them has been identified by the community as a child at-risk. Many of them need a place to go after school like the HAPO Drop-In Centre so as to prevent them from begging on the streets, or worse, being victims of abuse from the crowd they keep in impoverished neighborhoods.
